Last summer my family and I decided to move to the Cote d’Azur of Italy. The places here are very beautiful, the climate is wonderful and France is close. We spent a long time choosing which city to buy an apartment in. In the end, we chose the city of Albenga (a very cozy, clean and quiet town). The next step was choosing an apartment. We looked at ads on the websites idealista.it and immobiliare.it. The websites are good, convenient with clear photos and apartment plans. But we could not go beyond browsing the website on our own. Most often, we could not even make an appointment with the seller (although our language level is B1), we could not find out information about the condition of the apartment over the phone. Then friends scared us with stories about how they buy an apartment in Italy and cannot move in for years or have to pay off debts hanging on the apartment from the previous owners.
In the end, friends who have been living in Milan for 15 years gave us the contact of Artem from Itapart. We just took and shifted the whole burden from our shoulders to them. We breathed a sigh of relief… and things got going. We sent them links to 12-13 apartments from Albenga. And we told them what was important for us to see in our future dream apartment, and what we would like to avoid. Over the course of three days, Artem called everyone, rejected all the options, based on various hidden flaws that he learned from talking with the owners, their realtors and “house elders”. Some of the sellers did not pick up the phone)) As a result, we had five viewings, as a result of which we found the very one, our apartment.
Then Itapart made an offer to buy the apartment and during the negotiations (which was very nice), reduced the price of the apartment from 200,000 to 190,000. Two months later, we scheduled a meeting with a notary, where we bought our new wonderful home. Artem was in touch with us the whole time, and when signing the purchase and sale agreement with the Notary, he accompanied the entire procedure by phone, translated unclear points for us and included important points in the agreement. We are really very grateful to this company and Artem personally, they helped us avoid big problems and of course stress during the purchase.
